Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, while addressing the press conference organized to welcome former Chaupal MLA Subhash Chandra Manglet, said that his joining will strengthen the BJP in Shimla district as well as in the state. Today, due to the policies of Congress, senior leaders of their party are joining BJP. The reason for this is that today Congress has neither a leader, nor a policy nor any intention. Whereas BJP is the largest party in the world and we have capable leaders like Narendra Modi. Who are doing historic work to take India forward. On the other hand, Congress has been ruined in just one and a half year’s tenure. MLAs are leaving the party. Such a situation has come only because of the dictatorship of Congress leaders. Along with this, he advised Congress that it would be better if it contests elections on this issue.
Jairam Thakur said that nominations have been done in the state. It is clear who is in front of whom. It has also become clear from the crowd that gathered at the time of nomination as to whose side the people of the state are with. Referring to Kangana’s nomination, which was organized one day in Mandi, he said that according to the number of people who had come, there was less space. The special thing is that in Kangana’s nomination there were people from Mandi parliamentary constituency and not people called due to influence from across the state. This happened for the first time when there was no space left for people to stand. BJP is getting immense public support from everywhere in the state. He also expressed gratitude to all the people of the state for the support he is getting from the public.
Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal, while addressing the press conference, said that he is a senior leader of Congress Party and has been MLA twice, and for the first time he won the election as an independent candidate and then after contesting the election as an independent candidate, he got about 15 thousand votes.
