Congress winds up all cases for violation of COVID norms
Congress rule of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu decided to wind up all cases registered during former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur’s government for violation of COVID norm in Himachal Pradesh.
CM Minister announced the decision during a high-level meeting of the government would withdraw the cases registered against the people who violated COVID-19 norms during the pandemic.
The Chief Minister said that instructions had been issued to the concerned officials in this regard during the DC and SP conference held here today. He said that the Covid-19 phase was difficult for everyone and to prevent and contain this pandemic, various measures had been taken and restrictions were imposed on the common people.
During this period, hundreds of cases were registered for violation of such norms, but the present state government, adopting a humanitarian approach, will now withdraw such cases.
