Under the leadership of Kisan Sabha, four lane-affected people of Pujarli Panchayat opened a front against the company

Under the leadership of the State President of Kisan Sabha Dr. Kuldeep Tanwar, a full-day protest was held against the four-lane company in Pujarli. Kisan Sabha alleges that the construction work of the last phase of the four-lane road being built from Kaithlighat to Dhali is being done by SP Singla Company. Due to the company not doing dumping in a scientific manner, all the debris of the four lane being built from Bhad village of Kot Geha Panchayat to Dagah village of Pujarli Panchayat is being dumped in Shamli Khad. Due to which the fields, houses, cowsheds, and gharats of about 13-14 farmers, about 16 bighas of land have reached the verge of destruction.
Dr Kuldeep Tanwar informed that the last phase of the Parwanoo Shimla four-lane road from Kaithali Ghat to Dhali is being constructed by SP Singla Company. This project has been awarded Rs. 1878 crores. He informed me that a bridge is being constructed at a place called Nee on this road. All the debris of this bridge is being dumped by the company in Shamli Khad. While the dumping site has already been decided in the DPR, but the company is deliberately dumping the debris in the ravine due to which the water level of the ravine has increased and the water has changed its course due to which the land of about 14 farmers has been destroyed. Apart from this, six houses have come into the danger zone. Apart from this, many cow shelters have been destroyed.
Dr Tanwar said that during the protest, the local administration and company officials came to the spot at night and assured to dump the road debris at the designated dumping site. Dr Tanwar said that until the company works according to its promise, the people of Pujarli and Kot Geha Panchayat will not allow the dumping of debris in Shamli Khad. He said that nine panchayats are being affected due to the construction of the four-lane, in which five panchayats are of Kasupanti Vidhan Sabha, three panchayats are of Shimla rural and one panchayat is of Kandaghat block of Solan district.
