Yun hi Saath Saath Chalte Performed in Shimla
A unique theatrical production based on poems of Sachchidanand and Malavika Joshi was performed on Sunday at the Historical Gaiety Theatre Gothic Hall of Shimla during ‘Jashn E Adab’ festival. This production has been conceived in a classic Shruti Natak style blended with musical presentation composed by Anandajit Goswami. It was for the first time that such a production based on contemporary poetry has been presented in a literature festival.
Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi also wrote the script of the play to weave the poems into a drama depicting the nuances of man woman relationship. The jam packed audience received the play very well and were glued to their seats in a play which lasted for one hour and fifteen minutes. There were prominent writers and poets in the audience.
Dr. Joshi and Malavika Joshi acted in the play. Anandajit Goswami, Divyam Gaur and Sukriti presented musical rendition of the poems. Dushyant Joshi did the production design and Chandrashekhar and Dharmesh gave technical support.
