All India Congress Committee’s National Spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Rathore has said that the huge turnout in the state assembly elections is an anti-incumbency trend. In response to a question, Rathore said that he has never been involved in any race. He said that whatever responsibility was given to him by the high command, he has fulfilled it with full honesty and integrity. He has said that the decision of the Chief Minister in the state will be decided by the high command on the opinion of the elected MLAs.

Addressing a press conference at party headquarters Rajiv Bhavan, Kuldeep Rathore said that the results of the assembly elections are yet to come. He said that he is a member of the All India Congress Committee and had gone to participate in a program organized in Delhi, no other meaning or speculation should be drawn from it. He said that the responsibilities assigned to him by the party high command have been properly discharged by him.

Rathore claimed that the election results in Himachal were locked in the EVMs in favor of the Congress. He said that the Congress is going to form the government in the state with full majority. He said that it has been the custom of BJP to influence public opinion. BJP believes in horse-trading. He said that BJP can do such horse trading in Himachal too, but no Congress MLA in Himachal will come under any pressure or inducement from them.

Rathore said that in the internal survey of BJP, 23 seats are being declared safe. He said that it is clear that the BJP is not going to return to power. He said that the BJP openly used money power in these elections. People have voted in favor of Congress rejecting BJP completely. He said that heavy voting in the state is an anti-incumbency trend. He said that this happened for the first time in the history when the BJP had to face defeat in the first two municipal corporation elections in a state with the double engine government of the Center and the state, followed by 4-0 in the four by-elections. Had to face a crushing defeat. He said that the Congress has contested the elections in the state on issues like rising inflation, unemployment, corruption and misgovernance.

Rathore said that after coming to power, she will fulfill all her promises made in public interest while restoring the old pension of the employees.

Kuldeep Singh Rathore said that today is the 72nd day of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. He said that the BJP government at the Center is terrorized by this Yatra due to huge public support for this Padyatra. He said that Rahul Gandhi had started this yatra from Kanyakumari which has reached Madhya Pradesh today. He said that every section of the society is participating in this yatra, and BJP is completely nervous about it. He said that BJP has always done politics of polarization for its political interest, which is not going to work now
