Three MLAs of Hamirpur district sold in the political market to mining and land mafia: Sukhu
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu addressed an election rally in Jolsappad of his assembly constituency late on Friday evening. He said that three former MLAs of Hamirpur district, who have been sold in the political market of BJP, are mining and land mafia. He has played with the sentiments of the people of the district. These three MLAs have sold their honor. Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur is full of ego, he challenges God daily. The people of the state will give a befitting reply to the efforts they are making to topple the people’s elected government on June 4.
He said that every person should gear up to ensure victory for the Congress party in the by-elections being held in Sujanpur and Badsar. The power of the vote is in democracy, it cannot be bought with the help of currency notes. June 1 is the right time to teach a lesson to the vote-buying BJP. BJP has stolen one Rajya Sabha seat from Congress, the public will teach it a lesson by winning all four Lok Sabha and 6 assembly seats. Last time the people of Nadaun had cast their vote for the MLA, this time they should cast their vote in the name of the Chief Minister. After forming the government, the development of the state has gained momentum. The development works which were stalled since the time of the BJP government are being given pace. The face of the entire state will change in 6-8 months.
The Chief Minister said that I got Jolsapar Medical approved, and today its work is going on at a fast pace. If I had not become the Chief Minister, the work would have been done at a snail’s pace. A National Institute of Cancer is being built here. Anurag Thakur is lying again and again regarding Jolsappad Medical College. Lies collide with truth again and again, but in the end, truth wins. Jolsapar is now turning into a city, as soon as the college starts here, all the vacant rooms will be put on rent. All the roads in the area will be repaired soon. Instructions have been given to PWD, work will start on a war footing after the election code of conduct is over.
The Chief Minister said that our government gave OPS to 1.36 lakh employees. A free education scheme has been started for the children of 1.25 lakh widows and single women. The scheme to give a pension of Rs 1500 to all eligible women above 18 years of age has been started. The benefits of the scheme will be available from April 1st. 2.37 lakh women who were getting a social security pension of Rs 1150 have started receiving Rs 1500. 4000 children have been adopted and given the status of Children of the State.
Sukhwinder Singh said that the Congress government is working to provide the benefits of government schemes to the last person. No one can stop us from providing rights to orphan children. If any officer is reluctant then there is a provision for punishment for him. To promote rural development and put money directly into people’s pockets, the daily wage of MNREGA workers has been increased by Rs 60. The government will buy cow milk for Rs 45 and buffalo milk for Rs 55. Wheat will be purchased for Rs 40 and maize for Rs 30 from those doing farming using cow dung. The government made changes in the revenue law. After that, in 3 months there were one lakh deaths and 7500 deaths. The government made changes in the disaster relief manual and provided Rs 7 lakh instead of Rs 1.5 lakh to the affected families to build houses. The central government did not provide any help to Himachal Pradesh. Hamirpur BJP MP Anurag Thakur did not even write a letter to the Prime Minister and Home Minister for a special relief package.
