Women public representatives should fulfill their social responsibility with confidence – Dr. Pravesh

With the aim of inculcating self-confidence in women public representatives towards their social responsibility, a three-day camp was organized by the National Commission for Women at Himachal Pradesh Rural Development Institute, Kerganeno Mashobra. Various faculty officers of the institute gave detailed information to the women on the topic ‘She is a change maker’. Institute’s program director Dr. Pravesh Kumar told that during this three-day training women, and public representatives were given detailed information on leadership development, the process of governance in Panchayati Raj, gender budgeting, achievement of sustainable development goals, and the role of women in public representatives in government schemes. was given. Dr. Pravesh said in his address that in the present perspective, women are moving ahead of men in every field, which is a matter of pride. He urged women to discharge social responsibility in their area with honesty, without any discrimination, and with a sense of dedication so that more and more people can be benefited from government schemes. Told that 26 women public representatives participated in this training program. This training will prove to be meaningful in making women’s leading contribution to the social system successful along with self-confidence in women public representatives. Former Economic Advisor Pradeep Chauhan, Program Officer Women and Child Development Department, Bhupendra Sharma, and Anita Kumar Panchayati Raj Department played the role of resource persons in this program. Peeran Panchayat Pramukh Kiran Sharma while sharing her experience said that during the training she has gained a lot of information related to Panchayati Raj which will prove to be very helpful in the functioning of the Panchayat.
