Sukhu briefs Mallikarjun Kharge about the losses in Himachal due to torrential rains
Chief Minister, Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu called on Indian National Congress President, Mallikarjun Kharge at New Delhi today.
He discussed various issues pertaining to the state with Sh. Kharge apprised him of the devastation caused by floods and rains in the state and the relief and rescue operations conducted by the state government. The Chief Minister was also apprised about the evacuation of tourists from Chandertaal (4300 meters) in Spiti, by his Ministers. He said that the state government was trying its best for restoring normalcy and added that he had taken up the matter with Prime Minister, Narendra Modi in New Delhi for providing immediate relief to the state.
Sh. Kharge lauded the efforts of Sh. Sukhu for personally monitoring the relief and rescue operations on the spot.
Sh. Sukhu also informed Sh. Kharge about his meeting with BJP National President, J.P Nadda, Home Minister, Raksha Mantri, and Finance Minister, wherein, he discussed about various issues of the state.
