Ensure constant monitoring of Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna: Sudha Devi 

M. Sudha Devi, Secretary (SJ&E) & Health, in a virtual meeting with all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Programme Officers, (DPOs) issued strict instructions regarding the implementation of the schemes of the Department of Women and Child Welfare (WCD) as Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray Yojna, One Stop Centre, Anganwadi Services pertaining to welfare of women in children.

Special directions were given to all the DCs and DPOs to initiate measures for improving the declining Sex Ratio at Birth (SRB) and Child Sex Ratio (CSR) as per the norms of the government of India. Also, there should be proper monitoring, active campaigning, and maximum utilization of funds as allocated, as per the guidelines of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojna, said Sudha Devi.

The Secretary also directed to monitor Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aashray
Yojna and take a personal interest in the implementation of all the components related to beneficiaries, as
as the government has adopted the orphans as the “Children of the State” and their needs should be taken care of by the District Administration so that they can be provided the best education, accommodation, and other facilities meant for them.

Maximum awareness should be done about ‘One Stop Centers’ and their location in each district so that women in distress can seek temporary shelter and have access to legal, mental, and psychological counseling. Similarly, awareness should also be created about hubs set up for the Empowerment of Women, both at State and District levels, to advise and counsel women on welfare measures under State schemes as well those of the Union government.

Rupali  Thakur, Director of Women and Child Development, and Sh. Mohan Dutt Additional Director WCD was also present on the occasion.
