PM Modi took India to new heights of development in the last 10 years: Meenakshi Lekhi

Senior BJP leader and Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi, while addressing the press conference, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has gone among the public with its Lok Sabha report card, but the Congress government does not have the report card of its last 16 months. Has been able to show that this is a government of sorrow and not of happiness.

The entire budget of 2014 in Himachal Pradesh was around Rs 57 crores, today it has reached around Rs 59 crores, this clearly shows how much money Himachal Pradesh has received from the Center because all this budget is centrally based.

Our Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh requests Sukhu that if you have to make a budget, then learn from women only, we know how to run a house and also how to run a government.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken India to new heights of development in the last 10 years. This change is visible in all sectors, be it railways, highways, healthcare, education etc. This reflects Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’.

He said that from 2004 to 2014 when UPA was in power at the center and from 2014 to 2024 when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in power at the center, India has clearly seen its two eras, one era which can be seen from the point of view of destruction and the other. Amritkaal.

Meenakshi Lekhi said that according to the comments of Morgan Stanley, a world leading financial analyst, India was a fragile economy during the UPA and India is the fastest growing economy under the Modi government. Today, India, the fifth largest economy in the world, has maintained its sustained and fast pace in 2023 after two years of strong economic growth in 2021 and 2022. By 2030, India will become the world’s third largest economy and Asia’s second largest economy with a GDP of $7.3 trillion, surpassing Japan.

He said that in terms of tap water connections, 3.2 crore houses in the country were provided tap water by 2014 and by 2024, tap water has been provided to 12.7 crore houses in the country. Under the Rural Housing Scheme, 1.79 crore houses were constructed in the country till 2014. Now in 2024, the number of these houses has reached 2.9 crore. Under the Ujjwala scheme, the Modi government has worked to provide gas connections to 9.6 crore houses in the country by 2023. No such plan was made during the time of UPA. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana, medical insurance of Rs 5 lakh is being provided to 50 crore people of the country.

Meenakshi Lekhi said that it is sad that the government running in Himachal Pradesh is not a government of happiness but a government of sorrow. The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh is working in a spirit of revenge where the previous Bharatiya Janata Party government ran many public welfare schemes in Himachal Pradesh and efforts are being made to stop those schemes in Himachal Pradesh.

Health facilities are keeping distance from the poor in Himachal Pradesh. Health facilities in Himachal are continuously crumbling. There are 278 hospitals registered under Himcare Scheme and Ayushman Bharat Scheme in Himachal Pradesh. More than 4.85 lakh people have been treated under the Mukhyamantri Himcare Yojana in the last three years. By November 2023, 78 thousand 365 new cards were also made. In such a situation, health facilities in Himachal have collapsed due to people not getting the benefits of this scheme. The state government has not yet released more than Rs 300 crore for these schemes, due to which the poor are not getting the free treatment they used to get.

There are even works worth Rs 1200 crore which have been surrendered due to non-deposit of money, this also includes many roads of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

We can say with certainty that the present Congress government has not done a single development work in Himachal Pradesh and that is why they are not going among the public and seeking votes for the Lok Sabha elections.

He said that this Congress government will be known for its mismanagement, where in its 16-month tenure, this government has taken a loan of Rs 25,000 crore, and this government has broken all the previous records in taking loans. The previous Bharatiya Janata Party government had taken a loan of only Rs 17829 crore between 2012 and 2017. Even we are still unable to understand where this Congress government spent this loan.

The present Congress government is completely anti-women, Congress only knows how to lie and mislead the people and women of Himachal Pradesh. Even when the assembly elections came, they had come with a guarantee in which they had said that in the first cabinet, We will give Rs 1500 per month to women. Now that the Lok Sabha elections have come, he once again gave the promise of Rs 1500 per month to women. Even during the assembly elections, a blue form was filled and a form is being filled even now. It seems that the Congress party is only interested in getting votes but has no desire for public service.

Congress leaders never had any intention of providing facilities to women, that is why they did not make any provision for Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana in the recent assembly budget session and then hastily announced this scheme. The Chief Minister called a press conference and announced this scheme in 2 minutes and did not take even a single question from the journalists. This makes the intentions of the Chief Minister and the present government clear.
