Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, PM Modi’s gift to the country to 70 crore sisters: Bindal

BJP State President Dr. Rajeev Bindal said that the new Parliament building has created a new history. The Lok Sabha on Wednesday unanimously approved the 128th Constitutional Amendment Bill related to women’s reservation, pending for 27 years, leaving behind the question of quota for the deprived classes. Congress was also involved along with parties like SP, RJD, JDU, which were hindering the path of this bill till now.

Only two votes were cast against the three bills related to this, while 454 votes were cast in support. Such a consensus has been reached on a bill in Parliament after years.

He said that after eight hours of vigorous debate on the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill, which reserves 33 percent seats for women in the Lok Sabha, State Assemblies and Delhi Assembly, voting was done by slip after 7 pm and this Bill was passed.

Bindal said that women empowerment is a resolution related to faith and loyalty for BJP. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a unique gift to the 70 crore sisters of the country, best wishes and congratulations to all the women for this 33% reservation. With the passing of this bill, a new history has been created in India after 75 years.

There was a lack of strong will power in the Congress Party and other parties due to which this bill could not be passed in the past. Congress always introduced this bill but then retreated. Former Prime Minister of the country, late Shri Atal Bihari ji had introduced this bill once but the Congress party did not allow it to be passed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Council of Ministers had also created history by appointing 11 women as ministers of cabinet rank and ministers of state in 2021. The passage of the Women’s Reservation Bill by the Parliament of India will be written in golden letters in history for providing real representation to women in the legislative bodies of the country.
