Himachal IT Department conferred with Award of Appreciation- Progressive State in Digital Innovations
A spokesperson of Department of Information Technology disclosed here today that department has been awarded with the ‘Award of Appreciation- Progressive State in Digital Innovations’ at an event organized by CSI SIG at Delhi Technological University, New Delhi.
The award given under the State Category ‘Award of Appreciation’ and was received by Additional Director IT, Rajeev Sharma on behalf of Department of Information Technology, Himachal Pradesh.
He said that the award was received for the initiatives started by the department for the promotion of IT and e-Governance across the State. It was recognition of the advances made by the State for usage of digital tools to improve and simplify governance and enhancing the quality of life of citizens.
Himachal Pradesh is a leading State in e-Governance and use of IT tools is playing a major role in improving service delivery to citizens and to bring transparency and efficiency in the entire process of government. The award has been given to recognize and appreciate the successful efforts by the State in achieving good governance and providing various G2C (Govt. to Citizens) & G2B (Govt. to Business) services in the field of e-Governance, said the spokesperson.
He said that the department is currently successfully running the IT initiatives such as-GARUD (Governance & Reforms using Drones), Himachal Online Seva, MukhyaMantriSevaSankalpCitzen Helpline, e-Office, DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), HIMSWAN (Himachal Pradesh State Wide Area Network), HPSDC (Himachal Pradesh State Data Centre), e-Cabinet, LMS (Litigation Monitoring System), RMS (Revenue Management System) among other such initiatives.
