Earthquake tremors shake Shimla & northern parts of India

Shimla and its peripheries experienced tremors and residents came out of their homes  in panic around 1019 PM on Tuesday. As per reports, Earthquake measures 6.6 magnitude on Richter scale.  There were 3 jolts in all with first more intense and other two were short.

Earthquake jolt was also felt in Shimla district and and other parts of Himachal Pradesh.  The Earthquake jolts were also felt all across North India and the social media was trending with the message on #earthquake   #भूकंप

People came out in the open on the roads  sharing their experience of a big short jolt of moderate intensity all across the capital city of Shimla. They came out of their houses in intense cold. 

There was no immediate report of any damage due to the quake, which was felt in Himachal and other parts of northern India.

According to reports, the earthquake measuring 6.6 magnitude hit countries including Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The epicenter is believed to be 90 km from Kalafgan in Afghanistan
