Congress members show concern over the gross irregularities in the recruitment of universities during the BJP rule 

Congress members today showed their concern about the gross irregularities in the recruitment process in all the universities during the last BJP rule in the state assembly on Tuesday. 

After the question hour Congress member, Chandershaikher(Dharmpur) raised this issue through a point of order stating that he was referred three times by opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur when he was speaking on a call attention motion on this issue yesterday. 

He said that the media tried to publish one side version of this issue quoting LOP which showed that justice was not done with district Mandi. ” Since it was the issue of justice related to the previous BJP rule of the people of Mandi. Congress members stated that a vigilance probe has already been ordered and posts of faculty members of Sardar Patel University Mandi have been sold. He disclose in the house that complaint was made based on the concrete trail of money as the transaction of many took place in an account of Him Congress organization soon after the posting of these faculty members. 

Member also alleged that people were rooted through this Him Congress from Sholeni University and after the recruitment there happened the transaction of money. He also alleged in the house that the vice president of ABVP was sitting in the interview panel during the recruitment process and the former Chief Minister tried to defend such people in the house is unfortunate. He said that TGT level teacher was elevated to Assistant professor in the university. He said that a double-engine government was there in the state and it always indulged in corruption. He said that the probe should be done. He hailed the prime minister’s office to order the probe when he was approached by the complaint by sending a complaint. He challenged Jai Ram Thakur that he is ready for a time-bound probe as the university was tried made den of corruption under the political pattern age. 

Replying to the issue of irregulates in the Saradar Patel University Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that the matter is already under government consideration and it has assured the house that the truth would come out soon in the matter.

Harish Janartha of Congress (Shimla) also raised the leaking of the agenda of the meeting of the Executive Council of HPU as the leader of the Opposition stated in the house yesterday that he has the agenda with him. Being a member of EC Mr. Janartha said that recruitment is also being done in HPU by violating UGC norms and Assistance professors are being appointed similarly. He said that the working of HPU was also being hampered and that Vice-Chancellor was given additional charge of other universities. 

Harish Janarth also raised the issue of providing accommodation to some of the members of HPU faculty at a very nominal rate despite they have their own house. Kewal Singh Pathania of Congress demanded that an inquiry should be ordered by the government in all the University as during BJP govt similar recruitment scams have occurred in the Dr Y S Parmar University Nauni. Central University. Sardar Patel university and HPU. He said that members of the former ruling party and a particular ruling student organization that presided over the recruitment process need to be probed. 

Replying to the issue Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that the government is already going ahead with all these issues including the Police paper leak, Himachal Pradesh Subordinate  Selection Boards, and other Universities the vigilance probe is already ordered. He said that all these issues are already sieged over by this government and members should trust the government is very serious on the issue. He said that scams that occurred in the educational intuitions are open to the public and they have shown the door to the former ruling party for their deeds. However, Dy CM did not announce any separate probe on the issue in the house.
