Kasumpti units of CPI(M) concerns over lack of development in area

Kasumpti unit of CPI(M) expressed concern over snail pace development of the areaalleging that the government could not complete government degree college building pending for decades.
Announcing to strengthen the party unit CPI(M),Kasumpti Party Secretary Satyavan Pundir   said during the local committee meeting here today. He said that party local committee said that Govt degreeCollege Koti was being run from an old building as the construction work of the lone government college  in Kasumpti has been stalled for a long time but neither the  government nor the local MLA is bothered about it. 
” This is unfair to the students studying in the college and playing with their future. At the same time, there are still many such roads in Kasumpti area, which are either in bad shape or not vehicular.” he pointed out.
The number of buses is less in the assembly moreover due to worst road conditions and frequent overloading the risk of mishap could not be ruled out. 
Party decided to go to the public regarding these issues to build up a movement to put pressure on the indiscernible government to solve the problems by mobilizing the people.
Mr Pundir said that the people of merged area coming under Kasumpti area are facing various issues and problemsas state could not take any decision regarding regularization of  building in this area putting unjustified and unnecessary burdened on the resident as they have to pay exorbitant electricity and water bills at commercial rates. 
He assured the party members to run a campaign regarding the problems of the merged area in the coming time.” Municipal Corporation does not have any concrete plan for the development of the merged area. AMRUT Mission money is being wasted like throwing down the drain without proper planning and using substandard construction quality material and in various unplanned ill conceived works. 
He urged the people of the  area to do a social audit of the various work being done by Shimla Municipal Corporation to stop negligence use of public money and repent corruption reported in the various schemes and work .
Pundir also asked the party unit to put effective party candidates in the fray for upcoming municipal electionsas elective party representatives in the civic body could sort out these issues with full vigor and which include raising inflated electricity, water, garbage bills etc.
State Secretariat member Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar and Secretary, Local Area Committee, Shimla, Babu Ram were also present in the meeting.
