Cong won from Bhoranj by mere 60 votes , NOTA scores more than 250 in all 68 assembly constituency

The Congress party is going to form the Govenrment  winning 40 assembly seat in 68 member unicameral house after the counting is continue till late evening in half dozen of constituencies . Ruling BJP could not make repeate as it got only 25 seats as the Congress wrestled 25 seats from the ruling BJP. Suresh Kumar of Indian National Congress won by margin of just 60 votes from Bhoranj seat of Hamirpur district defeating BJP candidates Dr Anil Dhiman .Suesh Kumar vot 24779 votes. Randhir Sharma of BJP won from Ghumerwin by margin of 171 votes defeating Congress former minister and seven times Congress MLA Ram Lal Thakur who was CM face of the party. Tarlok Jamwal of BJP won by 276 votes from Bambar Thakur of Congress. In the home turf of Former two time chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal , Sujanpur assembly constituency Congress candidates again defeated BJP candidates Cap. Rajeet Singh by margin of 399 votes.  Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was leading by margin of 38183 votes, Harshwardhan Chauhna of Congress won by margin of 382 votes from Baldev Tompar of Congress in direct contest. Chauhan got 32093 votes, Congerss MLA from Rampur won by margin of 567 votes from nearest rival of Kaul Negi of BJP.

Big wins and big loss

Congress defeated candidates Chandershaikar defeated Rajat Thakur of BJP who is son of former sitting Minister Mahinder Singh Thakur one of the most performing minister in his assembly constituency for providing jobs to more than 20000 youths in interesting contest. Chandder Shekhar is former SFI leader joined Congress in 2012 and lost last two election from Mahinder Singh Thakur of BJP. BJP minister Mahninder Singh Thakur did not contest the election this time and decided to put his son Rajat Thakur in the fray in his place Mr Chandershaikar who was considered tough contestant for MS Thakur wrestled the BJP bastion by winning by marin of 3026 votes scripted history. Beside this seven minister of Jai Ram Thakur could not retained their seat as they were facing rebel and incumbency, Interesting contest of Sports and Forest Minister Rakesh Pathania and Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj draw the fierce criticism for ruling BJP and party president Jagat Prakesh Nadda, Mr Pathania was forced to fight from Fathepure and Mr Bhardwaj from Kasumpti. The two of them have accepted their debacle before the actual contest feeling the pulses of voters. A video and audio clipping went viral during the election campaign of two sitting Minister as Prime minister allegedly made telephone call to party rebel Kripal Parmar to move out of contest however he did not obeyed Mr Modi, BJP leader Suresh Bhardwaj public statements also gone to media headlines when he stated after filling of his nomination from Kasumpti that he would lost election has he did not have his own vote in contesting assembly constituency. Interestingly Mr Bhardwaj lost to Congress three time sitting MLA Anirudh Singh by margin of 8655 votes and Suresh Bhardwaj got 17104 votes. Ms Renu Chadha a former party MLA also predicted the lost of Rakesh Pathania from Fathepure stating that Pathania is also forecast his debacle. Sitting Congress MLA , Bhwani Singh Pathania defeated Rakesh Pathania by margin of 7354 votes who got got 25879 votes. Only Dhumal loyalist in Jai Ram Thakur cabinet Agriculture and Animal husbandry minister Verinder Kanwar lost assembly elections to a green horn of Cong Mre Davinder Kumar from Kutlehar by huge margin of 7579 votes. Kanwar got 29057 votes in BJP bastion in unexpected debacle. Congress’s  former minister son and Bhuvneshwar Gaur who was defeated by the BJP sitting MLA and Education Minister Govind Thakur for last two terms defeated Mr Thakur  by margin of 2957 votes. Mr Thakur was who is also son of former Minister Kunjvihari Lal Thakur was winning from world tourist destination for last three consecutive terms who got 26535 votes. In impressing victory two times Congress contestant and NSUI leader Kewal Singh Pathania defeated Jai Ram Cabinet woman empowerment  minister Sarveen Chaudary by margin of 12343 votes. NSUI leader was fighting on this seat since 2012 and 2017 assembly. BJP could not saved its bastion despite Congress stalwarts Major Vijay Singh Mankotia joined the saffron party recently and joined photo shooting shows with the Ms Chauhdary.Ms Chaudhary who is wife of an armed officer got 24360 votes. Congress former MP Krishan Dutt Sultanpuri’s son Vinod Sultanpuri (40) who is close to Rahul Gandhi and fighting against BJP sitting minister Rajeev Sahijal defeated the another minister of Jai Ram Thakur by margin of 6768 votes. Mr Sahijal won by margin of 442 votes in 2017 and 24 votes in 2012.  

Congress lost four seats due to bickering and rebels. Congress rebels cast dooms in Naina Devi and  Bilaspur assembly constituency due to infighting over turf between Congress candidate Ram Lal Thakur and Bambar Thakur. Former Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gangu Ram Musafir and former MLA Jagjiwan pall who were in the fray from as independent candidate at Pachhad and Sulha cast spell dooms on the Congress party. Congress candidate and BJP  rebel Dayal Payri lost in triangular contest from Pachhad reserved AC from Sirmuar district due to division of votes between Musafir and Dayal Payri. BJP retained the Pacchad seat by margin of  3857 votes . As BJP sitting MLA Reena Kashaypa (38) got 21215 votes, Dayal Payri of INC 17358 and Gangu Ram Musafir (Ind) 13187), Similarly Congress candidates not only lost put performed miserably third in the tringular contest against Vipin Parmar of BJP( Assemly speaker), owing to Congress rebel Jajjivan Pal Parmar won by 7212 votes as Parmar got 36670 votes, Jagjivan Pal 29558 and Jagdish Sapia 6828 votes. 

Three Independent toppled BJP contestant out of race  . Jai Ram Thakur succeed to won over four sitting MLAs into its fold before assembly elections however only two managed to win in the election however two other pushed the ruling party out of race. Among three Independent who won the assembly elections are former party leaders and MLAs who was denied ticket by the BJP. In Nalagarh Assembly constituency BJP candiate and former Congress rebel Lakhvinder Rana lost to party rebel and former BJP MLA Kirshan Lal Thakur who the election . Mr Thakur declared elected by margin of  5154 votes, Mr Thakur got 33427 votes, Rana 27273 votes and Hardeep Bawa of Cong-20163 votes. BJP also played spoil sports in Dehra Assembly by changing party ticket of Ramesh Dhawala and Ravinder Singh Ravi both Shanta and Dhumal loyalist. Jai Ram Thakur who succeeded to bring the two Indepdent sitting MLA Hoshiyar Singh and Parakash Rana to BJP created situation like a rebellion in the ruling party. BJP denied the tickets to Hoshiya Singh despite assuring him to put in fray from Dehra however under pressure from Shanat and Dhumal camp Hoshiyar Singh denied tickets who fought as an Independent and spell dooms on BJP which was performed poorly third in this contests. In election announced here today Hoshiyar Singh is one of the Indepdent who won by margin 3877 votes as Singh got 22997 votes, Congress candidate Rajesh Sharma got 19120 and Ramesh Dhawala ( BJP) 16370 votes. BJP also lost from Jawalamukhi as Ravinder Singh Ravi also lost by margin of 6404 votes. Congress candidate Sanjay Rattan got 27827 votes, Mr Ravi 21443. BJP could won only Kangra and Jogindernagar seat as party congress rebel and former MLA Pawan Kajol defeated Congress candidate Surinder Kaku by massive margin of 19834 votes, Pawan Kumar Kajal who had joined Congress being a Shanta Kumar loyalist in 2012 got 35239 votes however Surinder Kaku got 15405 votes. Prakesh Rana of BJP also won by margin of  4340 votes defeating Thakur Surender Pal of BJP.   

NOTA compete 3rd Front in Himachal.

 Nota got 669 votes Baijnath, 539 votes in Chamba, 576 votes in Darang, 634 votes in Solan , 590 votes at Nalagarh,   525 votes in Shilai, 550 votes atChopal , 519 in Shapur, 520 at Anim  495 votes in Paonta, 485votes and 67 in Lahaul Spiti district.
