Overconfidence & internal sabotaging responsible for party defeat in Bye election
The ruling party which is doing postmortem of its unexpected defeat in the recent bye election stated today that over confidence of party leaders and internal sabotaging was responsible for the party defeat.
This was stated by party spokesman Mr Randhir Sharma while briefing
media during a three day long party executive and core group meeting being held at Peterhoff here since Wednesday .
He informed that many important topics were discussed during the brainstorming session as party leader found that they were overconfident of its victory.
The cult of indiscipline, infighting, infighting between the workers, immaturity and ideological conflicts needed to be addressed, he said.
Party core group and executive meeting realised that the unveiled attack by the party leaders against the official nominee was very much responsible for its defeat as one year is now left for upcoming assembly election in 2022 and the party
would take the result of the election as an eye-opener for the party.
We would work hard to ensure the repeat. He said that factions ridden by BJP have to take it seriously and plan strategy.
A list would be prepared during the process of party postmortem on the defeat to send the notice to those who have indulged in the undercutting.
During the meeting change in the party and Government was not discussed as an issue and did not take any decisions on this matter he added
The Congress riding on sympathy wave and raising the issue of price rise effectively with help of internal sabotaging and undercutting by the aspirational party leaders forced it to face unexpected defeat.
” The party executive and Core-Group meeting are of the view that defeat in the bye poll would be eye opener for the party’s future election, learning from previous shortcomings as they should not be overconfident over its victory in the election as it did in the bye election.” Mr Sharma said.
We remaining fail to bring down the benefits of developmental schemes and works done by the party government in the state and center to the masses
Party leaders are of view that sympathy and prices work in favour of Congress developmental works was there but Corona hindered benefits of Government schemes to reach upto the people and benfinically in time.
A list of disgruntled leaders who did sabotaging and undercutting during bye election is being prepared and no one may be so high would be spared and to be dealt with sternly for breaking party discipline after the party completed its postmortem.
Party learning from its shortcomings would prepare a road map to regain public faith and trust as an upcoming plan of the party and above steps are needed to complete for the mission to repeat, he added.
