Car plunged into a 90 meters deep ditch in Bilaspur

In Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, tragedy struck a family on their way to the Makaranda pilgrimage site. Subhash Chandra, 57, and his wife Ranjana Devi, 55, residents of Jhajjar village, were accompanied by their son Ankush and daughter-in-law Ankita Kumari. The family set out in their car , aiming for a spiritual journey.

However, fate took a cruel turn as they navigated the Shimla-Mataur National Highway. Near Delag of Barmana, the car lost control at a sharp turn. In a horrifying moment, the vehicle plunged a staggering 90 meters into a deep ditch. The impact was fatal for Subhash Chandra and Ranjana Devi, instantly claiming their lives.

As authorities arrived on the scene, DSP Bilaspur Headquarters Madan Dhiman led the investigation. Post-mortem examinations were conducted on the deceased couple before their bodies were handed over to their grief-stricken family. Meanwhile, Ankush and Ankita Kumari, both 23 years old, suffered serious injuries and were rushed to AIIMS Bilaspur for urgent medical attention.

The community was left in shock and sorrow, grappling with the sudden loss of Subhash Chandra and Ranjana Devi. DSP Dhiman assured that the police had initiated an inquiry to determine the circumstances of the accident.

The ill-fated trip to Makaranda, meant for spiritual solace, turned into a tragedy, highlighting the uncertainty of life’s journey. As Ankush and Ankita Kumari fought for their lives, the community rallied around them, offering prayers and support in the face of this heartbreaking event.
