BJP lowered the level of politics in Himachal: Jagat Singh Negi
Horticulture and Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi has accused the BJP of lying that it has not opposed the Mahila Samman Nidhi to save itself from the mother’s curse. He said that former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur along with his leaders went to the election officer and put pressure on him in writing to stop the process. He said that the BJP is an expert in lying.
Jagat Singh Negi said in a press conference here today that the state government has launched the scheme of giving Rs 1500 to women in the first phase in Kaza in February 2024. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had released it to the women of Spiti. He said that the BJP tried to stop the process of filling its forms from eligible women in the rest of Himachal. He said that when the state government clarified its position in this regard to the Election Commission, the Election Commission permitted the government to continue this process. Therefore, all the eligible women in the state can submit their forms to the welfare officer.
Negi said that the BJP does not talk about issues. BJP is making an unsuccessful attempt to mislead people on the Congress manifesto. He said that the Congress government never imposed any unauthorized tax on the people. He said that the inheritance tax was repealed in 1985 because the income from this tax was less and the expenditure was more. He said that in 2016, the BJP government at the Center repealed the wealth tax and property tax to benefit its rich. He said that BJP is also trying to mislead people in the name of taxes.
Jagat Singh Negi expressed concern over this, accusing the BJP of lowering the level of politics. He said that the BJP leaders of the state have embarrassed the clean politics of the state and now they will have to pay the consequences in the elections. He said that Congress will hoist the flag of victory in all four Lok Sabha and six Assembly by-elections of the state. He said that the Congress government in the state is completely stable and strong and will become even stronger after June 4.
