Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur receives fresh snowfall
Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh received fresh spell of snowfall and state got widespread rain on Saturday.
According to Indian Meteorological department high reaches of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur got major spell of snowfall.
Gondla in Lahaul Spiti had eight centimetres snowfall, Hansa 2.5 cm, Keylong two cm and Kukamseri 1.5 cm. High passes of Lahaul Spiti got one to two feet snowfall.
Kothi had 28 mm rain,Tissa and Dalhousie in Chamba had 10 mm each, Palampur & Chamba eight mm, Kalpa in Kinnaur seven mm, Chamba and Dharmshala five mm.
In the afternoon the state lashed by the widespread rain or snowfall decreasing the mercury. Lightening and thunderstorm disrupted normal life as the power supply interrupted at various places in the state.
The ongoing inclement weather conditions likely to remained continue in next two days and night temperature may plummet by several degrees.
Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus 0.3 degrees and four degrees low of yesterday.
Minimum temperature of Shimla 12.6 degrees, Kalpa 4.6, Dharamshala 13.4, Una and Nahan 18 each, Solan 13.6, Manali 2.4, Kangra, Mandi 15.4, Bilaspur 19.3, Hamirpur 17.4, Chamba 14.5, Dalhousie 4.5, Narkanda 6.6 , Kufri 8.8 and Jubberhatti 14.2.
