The conference of the Basantpur Project unit of CITU related to the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers Union was held at Fair Ground Sunni. A twenty-seven-member unit was formed at the conference. He has warned the Central Government that if ICDS is privatized and Anganwadi workers are not declared as regular employees, then the agitation will intensify. He has demanded that the responsibility of teaching pre-primary classes and small children under the new education policy should be given to Anganwadi workers as they are highly trained workers. In return, their salary should be increased and they should be regularized. Incentives should be given for imposing election duty. The vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers should be filled immediately. Anganwadi workers and helpers should be paid double for the extra work. The facility of mini Anganwadi store bin should be provided.
