Questioning the state government, former Health Minister Rajeev Sehjal said that the health department of the state is a very important department and it is related to the lives of the people, but the system of the present government is not good at this time. The state government had said that we will promptly resolve the emergency of the major medical colleges of the state. Arrangements for one doctor and four nursing staff per bed will be made by the Congress government. But it has been with the government for more than a year. But the government has not completed this.
Taking the state government to task, he said that today the situation is bad in emergency, even today there is a drug list in which people are forced to buy common medicines like paracetamol from outside. The Microbiology Department and Pathology Department are not even able to provide the necessary equipment for tests. He asked the government that what is its compulsion that it is not able to provide even normal and small things in hospitals? Due to which tests are not being conducted and people are not getting the facility of free tests, people have to get the tests done from outside.
Dr. Sehjal said that the BJP government had made arrangements with Krasna Laboratories to get the tests done through this lab through a tender in February 2022 at about 30-35 percent less than the market rate. He said that the present state government has to give Rs 54 crore to this institute. But this crisis is also going to arise in future. The morale of specialist doctors has fallen during the tenure of the present government. Not only the morale of the doctors has fallen. Paramedical staff and nursing staff are also worried. He said that a huge communication gap is emerging between the government and the officers and employees. Due to which doctors, paramedical staff, nursing staff are feeling discouraged. When a specialist doctor is undergoing training, he gets a stipend of around Rs 50,000. After training, when he goes to a health institute to serve the state, he is given 32 or 33 thousand rupees by the government. The present government is trying to break the morale of doctors by closing NPS. The present government is not taking any action on the long pending issues of medical staff and nursing staff. Today, pharmacists are not being recruited, clerical departments are not being recruited and the data entry operator in the health department is looking after the work of about 2-3 departments, the government is sleeping like Kumbhkarni.
Slamming the government on the 10 guarantees, he said that this government has not been able to move even an inch in this direction, this Congress has come to power by lying.
The common people are suffering and are also troubled during the tenure of this government. Today their workers have also started speaking against the government. Congress workers have also started speaking against the Congress government. Efforts are being made to strangle the Himcare scheme. Nearly Rs 200 crore is still payable, while a large group of people in the state, 10,000 families, are registered under this scheme. The Jai Ram government had done the work of providing 3000 monthly financial assistance and as long as Thakur Jai Ram’s government was in power, this scheme Advance money was being arranged under this scheme, but today the beneficiary families are not getting the benefits of this scheme. Not getting benefit of Himcare scheme. Not getting the benefits of Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
The government seems to be failing on every front and inaction is visible.
He said that while thanking the Prime Minister, during the time of disaster, the Central Government helped Himachal Pradesh through various installments of Rs. 1782 crores to the state, but even after that, the Chief Minister, Ministers and their MLAs of the state repeatedly To chant that no help has been received from the Centre. The leaders of the Congress government are trying to create a wrong narrative that the Central Government has not done anything, this very wrong tradition has been started by the present government in this Devbhoomi. He said that the wooden pot does not boil again and again. This year is also an election year. Parliament elections are about to be held and at the same time he said with great confidence and assurance that Bharatiya Janata Party will register an unprecedented victory on all four Lok Sabha seats in Himachal Pradesh and Congress will be defeated.
