Notification issued for 14 th Assembly Election of Himachal

Notification was issued for 14 th General Assembly Election by the Himachal Pradesh Governor here today. In one page notification issued by Governor under sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the Representation of the  People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), published in the official gazette of the State on the 17th October, 2022, been pleased to call upon all Assembly Constituencies in the State of Himachal Pradesh, to  elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the State.  Notification said that on  25th October, 2022 (Tuesday),is  last date for making nominations. On October 27, 2022 (Thursday), as the date for the scrutiny of nominations; the 29th October, 2022 (Saturday), as the last date for the withdrawal of candidatures and the 12th November, 2022 (Saturday), as the date on which a poll shall, if  necessary, be taken  from 8 am to 5 pm and  On 10th December, 2022 (Saturday), as the date before which the election shall  be completed. Notification said that the existing Legislative Assembly of the State of  Himachal Pradesh, unless sooner dissolved, shall continue upto and including the 08th January, 2023, and shall thereafter, stand dissolved on the expiration of its duration and  General Election has to be held for the purpose of constituting a  new Legislative Assembly of the State of Himachal Pradesh.
