SJVN to contribute Rs. Two Crore to Himachal CM Relief fund
Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN, Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, today informed that SJVN will contribute an amount of Rs. 2,00,00,000 (Rs Two Crores) towards H.P. Chief Minister Relief Fund.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma stated that the financial assistance by SJVN will help the people affected by rainfall and resultant floods that had hit various parts of the Himachal Pradesh earlier this week. Heavy rains & cloud bursts have triggered flooding, landslides, home and bridge collapses which have severely disrupted access even to basic amenities.
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma said that SJVN will always remain in forefront in assisting the government’s efforts in relief measures.
“We stand by the people of the state in this hour of distress and express our solidarity and support to the ongoing relief and rehabilitation efforts. We hope that the funds will aid the people as they rebuild their lives in the aftermath of the recent floods. I also appeal everyone to generously donate to help the needy to tide over the calamity, said Sh. Sharma.He also expressed grief over the loss of life and property due to landslides and flash floods.
Earlier, the employees of SJVN have voluntarily donated their one-day salary to CM Relief Fund amounting to Rupees 55,00,000/- (Fifty-Five Lakh) approximately.
