Pratibha Singh says Bollywood actress Kangan Ranaut is capable of fighting the Lok Sabha elections in 2024
The political milieu is brewing in the state with a recent statement by the Bollywood actor Kangan Ranaut indicating to go for the Lok Sabha election in 2024.
In a media interaction held here today, State Congress President Pratibha Singh said that Bollywood actress is capable of fighting the LS poll from Mandi however Ms Ranaut has not made it clear in which political party she is keen to put her in the fray.
She stated that on the question of her recontest the elections from Mandi’s seat the decision to be taken by the high command if she would recontest again or not.
“If the party high command gives a ticket to anyone else. Still, she will work with all her heart.”Ms Singh said.
State President Pratibha Singh from the same seat said that if Kangana Ranaut considers herself capable of contesting the elections, then she can contest the elections.
Pratibha Singh, who reached Rajiv Bhawan Shimla to listen to the problems of party workers, praised Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu.
She said that despite the economic crisis, the government has given a package of Rs 4500 crore, due to which the disaster-affected people are being helped.
Pratibha Singh was referring to Ms Ranaut regarding her statement made at Mathura recently in which she stated that she may go for the LS poll if it would be the grace of the Almighty.
BJP may put Bollywood actress in the fray from Mandi after the debacle of the recent by-poll however political analysts say that BJP did not want to lose not a single seat from the state as North India is the stronghold of the saffron party however party could not search a successful candidate in Mandi Parliamentary Lok Sabha which is second largest constituency after Jaisalmer of Rajasthan in India.
