Objections invited on English and Hindi names of Gram Panchayats
A spokesperson of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department told here today that the process of certifying the names of village panchayats in the state in English and Hindi has been started.
He told that with a view to using the Government of India’s software named Swabans Lwajn Kpatambajwatal and the authentic, pure and uniform names of Gram Panchayats in Hindi and English language in various software and government schemes run by the State Government, a district-wise list of names of all 3615 Gram Panchayats in the state has been published in Hindi and English languages for the objections of the local public. This list is available for the perusal of the local people in the departmental website Prarunichchandbilanjandapabanda and in the e-gazette of Himachal Pradesh Government.
He told that any person can submit his objection regarding errors, if any, in Hindi and English names of Gram Panchayat to the concerned Deputy Commissioner within 15 days. The Deputy Commissioner concerned will recommend the final publication of the names of the Gram Panchayat to the State Government after taking a decision after considering the objections received. In view of these recommendations, the State Government will issue the final notification of the correct names of the Gram Panchayats. The finally notified names will be authentic for use and will be used in various software and government schemes run by the Central Government and State Government, so that authentic, pure and uniform names of Gram Panchayats will be available in various documents.
