Keylong freezes at minus six degrees

Coldwave intensified in the state during the wee hours as the night temperature of Keylong(Lahaul Spiti)was minus six degrees today.

Indian Meteorological Department said that cold wave conditions are intensified in the tribal and snowline area as the minimum temperature of Keylong was six degrees and two degrees below normal.

Waterfall in Maling Nala froze after plummeting night temperatures several degrees below freezing point. Tourist resort Manali was minus 0.8 degrees, Kalpa 0.6 degrees, Narkanda 2.5, Una 2.9, Mandi three Solan 3.7, Kufri 4.7, Una five, Dalhousie six degrees and Shimla 5.6, Airport Jubberhati and Dharmshala eight.

Met Office forecasts mainly dry weather conditions in the next 24 hours.
