Dr Rajinder Verma appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University for 3 years
Dr Rajinder Verma has been appointed as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) for a term of three years. The announcement was made in a notification issued by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, who is also the Chancellor of HPU.
Verma was born in Shimla in 1966. He has a teaching and research experience of over 23 years and has published 35 research papers. He is currently a professor in the Department of Law at HPU.
Verma holds a PhD in Law from the University of Delhi. He has also served as the Dean of the Faculty of Law at HPU. He is a member of the Indian Law Institute and the Indian Society of Criminology.
In his new role, Verma will be responsible for overseeing the academic and administrative functioning of HPU. He will also be responsible for promoting research and innovation at the university.
