Incidents of atrocities against women have increased in ten years of BJP tenure: Zainab Chandel
State Mahila Congress has launched an attack against the BJP government at the Centre. On Sunday, the State Mahila Congress protested outside the Congress headquarters against the anti-women policies of the Central Government and the incidents of sexual exploitation and abuse against women. On this occasion, State Mahila Congress President Zainab Chandel accused the BJP and said that during the 10-year tenure of the Modi government at the Centre, incidents of crime and misconduct against women have increased across the country. Despite that, these rapists and criminals are roaming freely in association with BJP. The credit for this goes to the BJP.
He said that BJP’s hand is with the rapists. All rapists and criminals who commit incidents like sexual exploitation and rape of women. BJP has control over them. Be it the incident in Hathras, the incident in Unnao, the incident in Manipur, the incident of Ankita Bhandari in Uttarakhand, or the sexual exploitation of women wrestlers or the incident of NDA candidate Prajwal Revanna with about three thousand women in Karnataka. All the incidents of rape and sexual exploitation have happened with the blessings of the BJP. These people, while holding high positions, have committed incidents of rape and sexual exploitation of women, after which they are roaming freely. He said that BJP’s slogan is Beti Padhao Beti Bachao, but if it was true for women then there would not have been incidents of atrocities against women in the country. BJP is just a government of words that says one thing and does something else.
Zainab Chandel said that today Prajval Revanna, an NDA candidate in Karnataka, is roaming abroad after committing incidents of sexual exploitation and rape with about three thousand women. PM Modi himself had gone to Karnataka to promote it. But instead of taking action against the criminals, these people talk about publicity and support, which clearly shows that women’s power does not matter to the BJP. He said that the State Mahila Congress demands that a criminal like Prajval Revanna should be brought to India soon and strictest action should be taken
