In-law book for cruelty against women in Hamirpur

In an inhuman treatment and public dishonour of a daughter in law FIR was lodged against in-laws by Hamirpur police today.

Hamirpur SP Aakriti Sharma said that she had received information about the crime and immediately police contacted the woman and recorded her statement under section 154. 

The woman said that this incident happened last month on 31st August. In this case, the woman gave the names of some of her relatives and villagers. An FIR has been registered and soon five people who assaulted the woman and cut her hair are being arrested.

According to a report received from the spot the daughter-in-law was subjected to Public shame by cutting her hair and subsequently parading her face blackened in the village.

The Complaint was subjected to atrocity having no rescue in the village. During the atrocity, neighbors were making videos on mobile phones.

The incident took place in Bhoranj village of Hamirpur district. A three-minute video of taking a woman around the village went viral

 Police registered a case against five people.

 After the woman’s video went viral on social media, the police have now registered a case against five people and taken action.

 Let us tell you that when the woman’s face was blackened and she was taken around the village, no villager tried to save her. 

 On the contrary, everyone kept making videos.  When the police got information about the entire matter, there was panic.  

  It is being discussed that the family members were angry due to the said woman disappearing from home three times and due to this this incident has come to light, the report said.
