Himachal beefs up security in border areas after police action against pro-Khalistan supporters
Himachal Pradesh Police beefed up the security along the border after police action against Pro-Khalistan Amritpal Singh in Punjab. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu gave a statement to media here today that security have been beefed up on the porous border of the state. He said that DGP was being directed to not disturbed the commuters coming in Himachal Pradesh from outsides however security forces also keep eye on the unwanted antisocial element. He said that there is no threat to from anyone in the state however it was being done as precautionary measure. He said that police would stop the incident of fire arson of buses etc. and now one allowed to take law and order in the their hand . He said that communication is being established with the chief minister of Punjab to have advance information of movement of any untoward incident. Superintendent of Police Sirmaur Raman Kumar Meena said that police vigil have been increased on the border area of District Sirmaur, ” These days Hola Mohalla is going on in Paonta Sahib due to which the security on the border has also been beefed up. SP e said that vehicles entering in the state is being routinely check to ensure that antisocial elements. In view of this, District Sirmaur Police has deployed additional police force on the borders of the state. Additional security forces have been deployed especially at Kala Amb, Baharal and Govindgarh Ghats, the gateways of district Sirmaur. in all these border areas all vehicles are being thoroughly check. The police in Una district adjoining Nangal have also put up additional naka at various places as Police is ready at Bathari, Marwari, Santoshgarh, Maihatpur on the Himachal-Punjab border. At the same time, additional security has been increased in Warder Area Kala Amb, Baharal, Haripurkhol and Paonta Sahib of District Sirmaur. Sirmaur’s borders are adjacent to the neighboring states of Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, in such a way Sirmaur Police has increased vigilance at all entry points. Apart from this, instructions have been issued to the policemen in plain clothes to be vigilant at the entrance. On the other hand, in BBN of Solan also vigil has been increased on the borders with Punjab. Armed police personnel have taken charge at four entry points along the Punjab border. At the same time, CCTV cameras are also being monitored at Bagheri, Dabhota, Dherawal and Navagram barriers. At the same time, vigil has been increased on the borders with Punjab in Kangra as well. On the instructions of SP Una Arjit Sen Thakur, all the entry gates adjacent to the state of Punjab have been guarded by the police.
