Accused gets bail in viral fake news letter case
An accused got bail in a viral letter case on Thursday in the Chief Judicial Magistrate court at Shimla after the three days police remand. Accused Manoj Kumar belonged to Bharmour of Chamba district was granted bail by CJM court Shimla Ms Pratibha Negi as police produced him in the court this afternoon. Manoj Kumar Sharma was arrested on Monday after zeroing him for spreading a letter that was claimed faked by SP Shimla Sanjeev Gandhi.
Two other persons were also interrogated in the matter two Mandi and Chamba districts were not arrested by the police. The police investigation could not so far. Police said that it is close to reaching up to the source who authored the letter.
The local vernacular media reported that a senior BJP leader who might be involved in the crime may be interrogated soon. According to a media report, one of the accused revealed the name of a BJP leader who might be interrogated in the matter soon. Police remained tight-lipped in the matter which is being considered high-profile political leaders.
