A significant fire erupted in an apartment on the fourth floor of the Post And Telecom colony on Saturday morning near the Mall Road, as confirmed by fire officials.
The blaze occurred in Set No. 5 of PNT Colony, assigned to Ashu, a BSNL employee who hasn’t been residing there for the past month. The fire department is actively working to extinguish the flames.
The exact cause of the fire remains undetermined at this time. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties, but the incident resulted in a financial loss, including damage to furniture, floors, windows, and personal belongings of the occupants.
According to the account provided by the occupants, the fire is believed to have originated from a short circuit, given that Ashu had been absent from the flat for an extended period, having gone to her native place.
