Cloud burst in Kullu, one die and three injured
One died and three others suffered injuries after torrential rain(cloud burst) at Raysan near Kayas village in Kullu district early this morning.
State Government spokesperson said here today that one person died on the spot and three persons got injuries when a vehicle carrying them washed away at 0355 hrs early Monday.
Rescue Police Team rushed to the spot but rehabilitation work couldn’t be started as the road linking to the village is blocked.
The deceased was identified as Badal Sharma S/o Sh. Ganesh Sharma Village Chansari
Injured Khem Chand S/o Sh. Nanak Chand Village Badogi, Suresh Sharma S/o Sh. Lais Ram and Kapil S/o Sh. Kamlesh Sharma Village Chansari P/o Bari Padar Tehsil & District Kullu were rushed to the hospital. Two suffered major injuries in the mishap.
The death toll in rain-related mishaps went up to 118. State Government said that Monsoon rain rendered a loss of Rs 4418 Crore in the state and 4500 houses were damaged.
