No connection of water : IPH footing bill to Mahila Mandal in Himachal

State Jal Shakiti Vibhag (Irrigation and Public Health Department) footing water bills to a Mahila Mandal of Gram Panchayat Satiwala however its office bearers claimed that they never hire or applied for drinking water connection for last 50 yrs.
Notice was served to Mahila Mandal Satiwala by the IPH department footing accumulated bills tunes to Rs 5664 seeking deposit theamount forth with.     
The members of Gram Panchayat Satiwala Mahila Mandal said that  Mahila Mandal is 50 years old. They do not have drinking water connection. But despite this, the IPH department has given notice to deposit a bill of Rs 5664.

The office bears of Mahila Mandal was in district headquarter on Saturday to submit their reply. We have to pay from our own pocket to visit the district headquarter to sort out the matter suffer financial loss individually.
Office bearers alleged that IPH officials are raising bills sitting in their office without paying visit in the field to verifying the customers. In rural  areas the IPH department did not install the water meter and bills are being raised against their connectionswithout use of consumption.
Number of villages in the rural areas did not hired IPH connection as they have their own gravity water schemes which is being look after by the villagers themselves.
