Various organizations celebrates Raksha Bandhan with Governor Shukla
On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan today, members associated with various organizations came to the Raj Bhavan and greeted Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla by tying rakhi to him.
Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Panthaghati and Brahmakumaris of Sunni Kendra tied Raksha Sutra to the Governor and wished him a long and prosperous life. Women of Self Help Groups of Mashobra and Dhalli Panchayat of Shimla district also wished for the good health of the Governor by tying Raksha Sutra. Office bearers and other members of Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society also congratulated and tied rakhi to the Governor.
While congratulating the people of the state on Raksha Bandhan, the Governor said that this auspicious festival of mutual brotherhood and harmony inspires us to stay connected to our high traditions and values.
Self-made ‘greeting cards’ were also presented to the governor by the little girls on the auspicious occasion.
The Governor also greeted all of them on pious festival.
