Under the guise of Agniveer, BJP ruined the future of lakhs of youth : Rohit Chaudhary

Today, on the call of the Ex-Servicemen Department of the All India Congress Committee, thousands of youth affected by the Agniveer Army Recruitment Scheme held a massive rally at Jantar Mantar and staged a sit-in. On this occasion, retired Colonel Rohit Choudhary, Chairman of the Ex-Servicemen Department of the All India Congress, Officers and many ex-servicemen also participated in it.
Retired Colonel Rohit Chaudhary said that before the Agniveer Army Recruitment Scheme, about 1.5 lakh youth from different states of the country had passed the physical and medical tests under the old army recruitment scheme and they were to be given jobs in the army. To achieve this, lakhs of youth worked hard for months and also took coaching. But in the meantime BJP quietly implemented a lame army recruitment scheme Agneepath and ruined the future of these 1.5 lakh youth who had already passed the examination by depriving them of jobs. Due to this, the intention of the Central Government to deprive the youth of employment has also become clear. Most of these youth, being overage, will not be able to take this examination in future also. When these youth asked for their rights, police force was used against them, lathicharge and even police cases were filed. Saddened by this, hundreds of youth marched about 1100 kilometers from Bihar to Delhi and asked the government to give them justice. But till now the BJP government at the Center has not made any move. Finally, a delegation of these youth met Congress Party MP and former President Rahul Gandhi in Delhi on 26 December 2023 and made him fully aware of the atrocities committed against them and urged him to fight for justice and get justice. After listening to these youth, Rahul Gandhi ji assured everyone to fight for their rights and justice from the streets to the Parliament until the youth get justice. In this context, Chairman of All India Congress, Ex-Servicemen Department, Colonel Choudhary raised his voice by holding a peaceful rally and protest with thousands of youth at Jantar Mantar in Delhi to get them their rights and warned the Central Government that “if these youth are not given the opportunity to join the army, then there will be violence across the country.” The youth will be forced to protest against the central government, for which the BJP government at the center will be responsible.”
He said that the Congress Party is for the youth.
We are always ready and committed to standing together and raising the voice of their rights and providing them justice.
It is noteworthy that Agniveer scheme will weaken our army and this is never in the interest of the country.
