UD Minister calls on Union Railway minister
Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj called on Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at New Delhi today.
Suresh Bhardwaj sought the intervention of Railway Minister to speedup various developmental projects in the state. He said that some of the developmental projects in Shimla town were to be carried out on railway land.
An ambitious project 230 metre Flyover opposite the State Vidhan Sabha has to be carried out on railway land.
The Urban Development Minister said the project would ease out the congestion on Shimla road.
Suresh Bhardwaj informed the Union Minister that efforts were made to decongest Shimla and under smart city project more than 12 km of road has been widened. There was no scope for road widening opposite HP Vidhan Sabha.
The Urban Development Minister said the flyover has been proposed and during his previous meeting with the union Railway Minister a detailed discussion was held on this matter. Suresh Bhardwaj hailed Union Railway Minister for swift intervention. He said the railway team inspected the site even before he reached Shimla after his Delhi Tour.
Suresh Bhardwaj also informed the Union Minister that General Arrangement Drawing (GAD) relating over-bridge at Totu has been submitted with Northern Railway office in Ambala and drawing relating HP Vidhan Sabha flyover would be submitted soon
