BJP spokesperson said that a personality like Dilip Rana alias Great Khali from this Shilai area of Sirmaur has brought glory to Sirmaur and Himachal in the whole world and in the year 2016, Sirmaur’s daughter Priyanka Negi has also been the captain of the Indian Kabaddi team. It is noteworthy that Ritu Negi was selected for Bilaspur Sports Hostel in 2006 and has been playing for Himachal and India since 2009. Also in 2011, she was the captain of the Indian Junior Women’s Kabaddi team and led Team India in the Under 20 Kabaddi competition in Malaysia. Playing an important role in the South Asian Games in the year 2019, Ritu Negi won the gold medal for the Indian team. Now Ritu Negi has put the name of Sirmaur district on the world map by becoming the head of the Indian Kabaddi team.
