Seven people suffered injuries in a mysterious blast in a food eatery near Mall Road Shimla
A massive blast that occurred in a food eatery jolted the entire Mall road and damaged five nearby shops and injured seven people this evening leaving the peaceful Shimla town in panic.
The police chief of Shimla district Sanjay Gandhi was on the spot. He said that a rescue operation is being held and the cause of the mishap could not be confirmed. The administration did not confirm the death causality however victims include the passerby.
The police sources said that the entire area was cordoned off and a team of FSL, Police, and Administration is conducting the rescue operation. The incident occurred in Himachali Roshi food eatery this evening and a ration shop and two jewelry shops and a showroom were damaged due to the massive impact of the Blast. The police are probing the cause of the blast and preliminary information says that it may be due to massive leakage of LPG gas and other flammable and gas used for refrigeration.
The impact of the blast was so powerful that furniture and goods were kept in the food eatery and nearby shops spread in front of Shiv Mandir Street. More reports are awaited
