 State Congress President and Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh has urged Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu to provide additional funds to the central zone of the Public Works Department for quick repair of roads in the Mandi parliamentary constituency due to heavy rains and floods. The damaged roads under the scheme can be restored soon. She has said that the National Highway Authority should also be asked to install additional machinery to restore the National Highway between Mandi to Kullu, Manali, and Lahaul-Spiti.

Pratibha Singh has told the Chief Minister that until the Pandoh-Kainchi Mor road which has been completely destroyed is not repaired, Bajaura, Kotla, Katindi and Chalchok Gohar Pandoh should be used for goods vehicles in a planned manner. should go.

Pratibha Singh said that there has been a huge loss of life and property due to heavy rains and floods in the state. She said that the restoration of roads in apple-dominated areas is the biggest challenge that has to be overcome in time. She has said that if the Mandi Kullu road is not restored soon, it may adversely affect the transportation of fruits, apples, and vegetables along with acute shortage of essential commodities like LPG, petrol, diesel, and food grains in this area. She said that the army’s logistics also go through this route, so every possible effort should be made to restore it as soon as possible.

Pratibha Singh has called upon the party officials and workers to provide all possible help to the disaster-affected people. She has said that the state is going through a big challenge at this time. She has also expressed his condolences to the bereaved families while urging people to be fully aware of their safety.
