Paragliding to start in Baryalta of Haripurdhar
Paragliding started on Wednesday from the peak near Manav Hill Resort Baryalta near Haripurdhar. Retired Indian Air Force Vice Vayu Sena Medal and Shaurya Chakra winner Air Marshal KK Sanghar will flag off a paragliding flight from the Baryalta take-off site on Wednesday. His wife Mrs. Promila Sangar will also be present with him as a special guest.
Manav Hill Resort Baryalta’s Managing Director Melaram Sharma said that this site has been approved by the Himachal Government in May last year by the Aerosports Committee headed by the Director of Atal Bihari Mountaineering Institute, Manali. He said that after one year of struggle, now commercial paragliding is being started at Badyalta near Haripurdhar, and for this very experienced para pilots Sanjay Kumar and Ravikumar have been called from Khajjiar in Chamba district and both these pilots will be able to participate in this summer season. Here, tourists will be taken on a tour of the sky like birds every day. He said that this paragliding site of Badyalta is very useful for paragliding like Bir Billing, a paragliding site of Himachal Pradesh of international fame and paragliders will take off from Badyalta and land at a village called Lajwa in the foothills, 14 km away. Mela Ram Sharma told that if everything goes well then the day is not far when this paragliding site of Baryalta near Haripurdhar will also emerge on the international map. He told that today he himself took a paragliding flight with both the pilots and landed in Lajwa village while experiencing great thrill. He said that flying in the sky like birds will no longer be a dream for the tourists coming here, but they will actually be able to visit the sky
