Nand Lal Sharma, CMD SJVN exhorts New Appointees to Create & Conquer All Challenges
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director addressed New Appointees of SJVN during the Management Employee Connect Program. This unique initiative is amongst a series of innovative programs, envisaged by Sh. Sharma to motivate and energize SJVN employees, for achieving higher targets. The aim of this Interactive Program was to inspire and encourage employees to propel SJVN in achieving the Mission of 12000 MW by 2026 and the Shared Vision of 50000 MW Company by 2040. The event organized at Hotel Peterhoff, Shimla was attended by around 350 employees who were recruited during the current & previous financial year.
Smt. Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), Sh. Akhileshwar Singh, Director (Finance), Sh. Sushil Sharma, Director (Electrical) along with other senior officers of SJVN graced the event. Sh. Simarjeet Singh, a Motivational Speaker of International repute also held an interactive session with the employees.
In his address Sh. Nand Lal Sharma said that daring to think of an innovative idea has produced some of the biggest breakthroughs in history. Tapping into your intellectual abilities and creative potential is imperative to build a rewarding career in today’s world of cut-throat competition. He reminisced about the incredible growth saga of SJVN, which was formed as NJPC to develop the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Project in 1988, now has a portfolio of more than 56000 MW. Sh. Nand Lal Sharma stated, in the last five years, SJVN has been allotted numerous projects in India & around 80 projects under various stages of development. He reiterated his belief in Team SJVN, which is fully dedicated to achieve the Shared Vision of becoming 25000 MW by 2030 and 50000 MW by 2040.
Sh. Sharma further stated that for achieving this monumental Target and towering vision, Team SJVN armed with its young brigade must be determined to conquer all challenges. He urged all employees to put in their best efforts to accomplish all tasks assigned to them. Furthermore, highlighting the perseverance of staff, he added that SJVN is poised to achieve the Shared Vision of SJVN with everyone’s coherent efforts in the right direction augmented with an accelerated pace of progress.
