Kashyap requested the Union Minister through a letter that for the ex-servicemen organization Paonta Sahib and Shilloi area, I request you to consider the matter by directing the officers concerned and considering the matter, Kendriya Vidyalaya in Paonta Sahib Rajban of district Sirmaur. command to restart. For this, I and all the people of the area will be grateful to you.
Kashyap had received a letter a few days ago in which the people of the area had demanded that the Kendriya Vidyalaya run under the Cement Corporation of India Limited, Rajban (Paonta Sahib) District Sirmaur till 2002. Which got closed due to some unknown reason. There is a two-storey building at the school site, in which about 35 rooms and 2 large playgrounds are available with necessary facilities. Presently a private college is running on this building.
There is no branch of Kendriya Vidyalaya anywhere in the district Sirmaur and surrounding districts and the district has a large number of central employees and retired people. Apart from this, since 2012, the branch of DRDO and the army corps are also present at the said place. The children of all the workers are forced to study in nearby private schools.
In the present environment, this area is still bereft of modern and convenient as well as useful and cheap government facilities for education. The district is located at one end of the entire state and is backward in terms of basic amenities like education.
Kashyap said that the Union Minister listened to all the demands and also assured to fulfill them.
