Modi Govt mislead farmers to double their income :Cong

President of State Congress Campaign Committee Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today slammed Narendra Modi government for misleading Farmer to double their income . In a press conference held here today at Congress Office Rajiv Bhawan Shimla Mr Sukhu said again that Jai Ram Thakur Government us remote control from centre as he is defecto Chief Minister only. Mr Sukhu said that Farmers were promised time and again by Modi Government to double their income by 2022, five years ago  But today the farmer or apple Growers are virtually on the roads due to antifarmer policies of the centre. State know for Apple production is facing danger to its economy as Goverment imposed GST of 18% on the cartons however facing wrath of apple Growers State government is trying to refunds six percent. No Agriculture products should be  tax and leving 18 per cent GST on the packing material is unprecedented. He said that  5 thousand crores  apple economy provides employment to many people and livilihood to three lakh households. He mock the Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that what happens to his promised given to Apple growers to impose 100 per cent import duty on apples before the elections in Himachal, which has not been fulfilled till date.He said that number of promises,  like formation of Horticulture commission to solve the problems and market exploitation of Farmers and  crop insurance scheme, insurance companies were made, he said that now insurance companies are doing the work of robbing the gardeners, no gardeners are giving compensation to the farmer. He said that now when central government are facing opposition from the Congress party it was misusing  ED to win the elections and the curb the voice of the opposition suppressing the distention.He also accuseds now Goverment for replacing the Election Commission by ED Commission. He said that no section is happy with the ruling government.  He said that Chief Minister assured to probe police paper leak case by the CBI but till today it was not handed over CBI which shows that people sitting in the government are involved in the police paper leak. “It will be investigated if the Congress government is formed and no one will be spared.” he said promising restoration of old pension scheme and regulations policy to outsource employees. He lashed Goverment failing to check inflation and allowing the prices of LPG domestic cylinder to increase upto Rs 1100 hundreds compared to Rs 450 of UPA rule.
