Minimum temperature plummets in Himachal,Kaza, Keylong & Kufri below minus ten degrees
The Minimum temperature plummet in the high altitude areas of State as Kaza(Lahaul-Spiti) recorded coldest at minus 14 degrees, Keylong minus 12.2 Kufri (Shimla) minus ten and Kaza minus 5.4 degrees . Indian Meteorological Department said that Tourist resort Manali, Shimla and Dalhousie 2, 5 and 5.5 degrees, two to four degrees above normal on Wednesday. Abode of Tibetan Spiritual Guru Dalali Lama , Dharmshala 6.2, Kangra 5.6, Una 6, Bilaspur & Nahan(Sirmaur) 9, Solan 2.8, Mandi 5.3, Hamirpur 7.3 Chamba 4.2,Narakanda 0.1 and Kasauli 8.1 respectively. The Met office forecast light rain and snowfall at isolated places of mid and high reaches in next 24hrs , weather would be mainly dry in the rest of state. After two days of mainly dry weather most of snowbound roads are cleared on warfooting according to state diaster Management authority now total 287 roads and three National Highway are snowbound and 244 distribution Transformer Region are without power supply out of which many would be restored as it was mainly suny today.The road communication in Lahaul-Spiti district is resume after remaining paralysed for last three days. Superintendent of police Lahaul-Spiti Manav Verma said that Manali Leh National Highway ( NH – 003 ) is allowed for four by four and Somu jeep upto Stingari,Pangi Killar Highway ( SH – 26 ) to four by four vehicles from Tandi to Udaipur , Darcha Shinkula road is closed for all types of vehicles and Kaza road ( NH – 505 ) is closed from Graphu to Kaza and Sumdo to Kaza is open for 4 * 4 vehicles . Local people and tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in case of snowfall. 140
4 roads and two NH are closed in Lahaul-Spiti, 57 roads are snowbound in Shimla, 43 in Kinnaur, 24 roada and two NH in Kullu,13 in Chamba,3 in Mandi , two in Kangra and one road is snowbound in Sirmaur district.Power supply couldn’t resumed in 100 DTR of Shimla, 68 of Chamba, 42 DTR of Kinnaur, 19 DTR in Lahaul-Spiti, 10 in Lahaul-Spiti and 5 DTR of Kullu.
