Keylong & Kaza gets blanket of snow

District headquarter Keylong of Lahaul-Spiti, Kaza, Hansa, Pooh, Kalpa, Sangal and Chitkul of Kinnaur got blanket of snowfall moreover mainly cloudy and inclement weather increased cold wave in the state and forecast of rain or snow is made in most places of the state. Deputy commissioner Lahaul-Spiti said that in view the road and weather conditions in the district, and the Black Ice Phenomenon and slippery road conditions on NH 003 , movement of all kinds of vehicles is restricted on Keylong to Manali route. Due to inclement weather Locals & tourists are advised to be very cautious while traveling in the valley.  In case of snowfall, they are requested to move and stay in safe places.  All Hotel and Homestay owners are also requested to advise their guests likewise.  SDM Manali also said that owing to snowy weather forecast for next 2-3 days, all departments are requested to keep their manpower and machinery in complete readiness in case of disruption of roads, electricity and water services. SDM, DySP Manali, BRO authorities to keep proper coordination and ensure timely advisory or communication through media and social media to tourists and people going towards the Rohtang Tunnel.
