Himachal State electricity board unions to hold symbolic protest on Aug 12
The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Employees Union chalked out a strategy for holding a symbolic agitation on August 10, 2023, in the entire state.
The decision of organizing agitation was taken by the union during a meeting convened at the board’s headquarters Kumarhouse at Shimla today.
It was attended by hundreds of union workers which general secretary of the union Heera Lal Verma expressed concern over the ongoing progress of the dissolution of the state electricity board.
Hira Lal said that electricity employees, engineers, and pensioners would jointly fight the battle for the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme for the board Employees.
He said that on August 10, 2023, the union will hold a symbolic protest in the entire state seeking to implement the old pension in the Electricity Board, to stop the conspiracy to disband the Electricity Board and to remove the former IAS Ramsubhag Singh from the post of Energy Sector Advisor, who was given reemployment by Congress government recently.
