Himachal Government passes new guidelines for apple auction in APMC market yards
Himachal Pradesh Government passed new guidelines for conducting of apple auctions in Agriculture Marketing Produce Committee Yards in Paprala, Mehandli, Solan, and Parwanoo.
A notification issued by the State Agriculture Marketing Board today said that direction is issued after a meeting held under the direction of Horticulture Minister Jagat Negi, which was also attended by Education Minister Rohit Thakur and CPS Mohan Brakta, on July 24, 2023, at HP Secretariat.
The directions were issued by HPAMB to all the secretaries of APMCs that Static weigh bridges shall be installed in Market Yards at Parala, Mehandli, Parwanoo, and Solan, and Videography of auctioning process shall be conducted on a daily basis.
The direction was also issued to all APMCs that a wide-scale advertisement of the new processes of trade on a weight basis shall be done through pamphlets, banners, hoarding, etc. and messages should reach all stakeholders, especially farmers, commission agents, and traders.
The information pertaining to arrival and prices shall be collected and submitted to HPSAMB in specified Performa, which shall be supplied to you shortly by HPSAMB.
HPSAMB also said that there should not be any deduction in the name of packaging material, and the final price in the auction should include the cost and weight of the packaging material.
APMC is also directed to implement the above-mentioned decisions in the market yards immediately and asked to submit the compliance report.
The procurement and installation of weighbridges should be done through the GeM portal or any process described in HP Financial Rule 2009.
