EVM machine and VVPAT reached Kaza
EVM and VVPAT machines reached tribal district Lahaul Spiti on Monday via Air Force helicopter from Kaza helipad for Mandi Lok Sabha Parliamentary General Election 2024 and Assembly by-election. Assistant Election Officer and Additional Deputy Commissioner Lahaul Spiti Rahul Jain said that as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, EVM machines and VVPAT machines were brought from Kaza helipad to the strong room.
It has been delivered.
The EVM VVPAT machines were rolled out to Kaza helipad amid tight security at 7:35 am on Monday.
Rahul Kumar Jain informed that 40 EVMs and 40 VVPAT machines have arrived for the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections to be held on June 1 in 29 polling stations of Spiti subdivision. There are 29 polling stations here. Keeping in mind the difficult geographical conditions of Kaza, 11 EVMs and 11 VVPAT machines have been added to these and have arrived safely under the supervision of Nodal Officer Assistant Election Officer Harsh Amarendra Negi. After the polling, on June 2, these will be safely transported to the strong room in Keylong headquarters for counting of votes through an Air Force helicopter.
